3-5 cups sifted confectioners' sugar

3 eggs, separated

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups sugar

2/3 cup unsalted butter

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 cup cold water

1//4 cup hot water
