Cooking duration: -1 minutes

Ingredients:

1/2 cup crushed ice

1 Juice of lime

Lime Sugar, optional

1 teaspoon of orange liquor, optional

1 medium size peach

2 ounces of Peach Schnapps

2 tablespoons of sugar

4 ounces silver tequila (I used Patron)

Equipment:

blender

Cooking instruction summary:

  1. If making lime sugar: Add 1/2 teaspoon of finely minced lime zest to 1/4 cup granulated sugar and set aside for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. For a pretty presentation, coat the rims of the glasses you are using with lime sugar (of course you can alternatively use plain white sugar). Do this by rubbing the rim with a lime wedge and then placing the rim into a plate that has the sugar in it until the rim is coated with sugar.
  3. Place all ingredients into the blender and puree. Add a little cold water if it is too thick. Either chill all ingredients before making or add some ice cubes after you have made the margarita and stir it until it is as cold as you like and strain it into your glasses (or serve on the rocks).

Food Joke

One night while I was cat-sitting my daughter's indoor feline, it escaped outside. When it failed to return the following morning, I found the beast clinging to a branch about 30 feet up in a spindly tree. Unable to lure it down, I called the fire department. "We don't do that anymore," the woman dispatcher said. When I persisted, she was polite but firm. "The cat will come down when it gets hungry enough." "How do you know that?" I asked. "Have you ever seen a cat skeleton in a tree?" she said. Two hours later the cat was back, looking for breakfast.
